This site may no longer be active, but it remains one of my favourite early projects. Nails by Nels was built for a young and talented nail technician who wanted a vibrant online presence that matched her personality and passion for her craft.

The goal of the website was simple: showcase her previous work, highlight the different nail applications and techniques she offered, and give potential clients an easy way to view her style. Unlike many of my other projects, this site had a bold, energetic aesthetic. She wanted something fun, eye-catching, and full of character So I designed it with a bright, playful background and a layout that brought her creativity to life.

Even though she eventually stepped away from the nail industry and the site was retired, this project still stands out for me. It pushed me to explore more expressive styling and taught me how to adapt my design approach to fit the personality of each brand.

Nails by Nels will always remind me that every business, no matter how small or short-lived, deserves a website that feels uniquely “them.” And it was truly a joy building something that reflected her bold, bubbly spirit.
