Hands on Interior Design

This site may no longer be live, but it will always hold a special place in my journey. It was one of the very first official websites I built, created many years ago when I was fresh out of school and just starting to find my feet as a designer.

Hands-On Interior Design was run by a local carpenter who specialised in kitchen and bedroom cupboard installations. He needed a simple, clean website to showcase his previous work and make it easier for clients to reach him. It was straightforward, honest, and built with the same craftsmanship he put into his cabinetry.

What makes this project so memorable for me is the *process* behind it. I was so new to web design and hosting that I actually had him purchase his own hosting package using a link I sent him and then hand over the login details so I could build and upload the site. A humble beginning, but a meaningful one!

I’ve grown a lot since then. Today, all hosting and domain registration is handled directly through me, making the entire process seamless for my clients. But this project will always remind me of where I started and how far I’ve come.
