Nails by Nels

Nails by Nels was a vibrant, personality-filled project where I not only built the website but also created the full branding and logo design. The client wanted a fun, expressive aesthetic that leaned heavily into pastel colours far more than the typical 3-4 colour palette most brands use. Together, we developed a six-colour pastel palette, each with its own variations, giving her brand a playful and energetic visual identity that matched her nail artistry perfectly.

Because the website design was intentionally colourful and busy, we chose to balance it with a super minimalistic logo. The final design was a clean, brush-style wordmark in solid black, allowing her name to stand out without competing with the rest of her colourful brand elements.

The result was a cohesive yet lively brand identity that felt uniquely “her” soft, creative, welcoming, and full of personality.
